"Recently I had the opportunity to listen to a wonderful speaker by the name of Selinza Mitchell. She isn't the sort of motivational speaker that gets you all pumped up and ready to attack the world. Selinza touches your heart with humor, love and purpose. The message she shared touched so many of us - there were many tears and much laughter.

The message I received? Was a reminder that we are ALL family, we have our immediate families and our work families....we are all connected, we are all one and at the same time we are individuals. It is through our individuality that you and I touch other lives. We do touch more lives then we realize - with a kind word or action to just one person we are actually causing a ripple affect.

Think about that. When you are kind or help just one person it uplifts and changes their attitude - that changed attitude is carried with them to the people around them. You touched just one person, and many, many more people are affected in a positve way.

There have been times in my life when I've heard a message that touched my heart so deeply that I just knew the message was meant for me. This was one of those moments.

Towards the end of the talk Selinza was showing us a pin, in the middle was a representation of the Earth and around the outer edge of the Earth were people touching hand to hand encircling it. You can see a picture of it above. Selinza was talking and walking, cradling the pin in her hands. She stopped near me and several other people. She took a step towards me and loving placed that pin in my hand - holding my hand and speaking to my heart - reminding me that I touch hearts everyday. The tears flowed then, as they are flowing now.

I do my best to create my ripples - Please feel free to start your own. :-)

Much Love, Khristine
